Over the years of helping our clients grow their electronic giving and expand their giving team, they sometimes look to additional software solutions to assist in web relationships; this is especially true with regional or national ministries. As we’ve come to understand these growing needs, we have done two things:
- We’ve built our own platform designed to connect the backends of hosted software to assist administration staff with reduced re-keying of information;
- We’ve partnered with like-Spirited organizations who would never mistreat a ministry client as many commercial entities might should a problem arise.
Platform to Connect Software Backends
Clients relying on multiple hosted software solutions frequently have to deal with entering the same information multiple times into different software programs. An example would be the pregnancy center clients who primarily use eKYROS and Waycool software for client and donation management. As eGiving has increased in recent years, entering electronic giving as if it were a check in the mail became more burdensome. It is a good problem to have, but many of our clients get more eGiving today than checks in the mail, so we worked together with these two dedicated companies to connect our backends together via API connections. Now our clients can much more easily retrieve their eGiving each month… shazaam! Pretty cool. We have many other connections on our list to do down the road as we have resources to do so. (Know any visionaries with resources?)
Partnering with Like-Spirited Organizations
Another direction to keep maturing relationships has been to partner with like-Spirited organizations who would never mistreat a ministry client like a commercial entity would should there be a problem.
Last year we partnered with Paperless Transactions for their commerce grade processing and text giving tools (and other features). Clients like GiveReceive.org have been blessed with this connection (check these guys out and apply for their “receive” list).
This spring we are building a partnership with Donor.com, one of the oldest and largest donation CRM software solutions (think: $ billions in giving) for our clients who need to graduate to a serious relationship manager. For the cost of a part-time employee, a ministry can greatly expand giver relations. Additionally, Donor.com has a rich child sponsorship program. We connect that software then to our Paperless transaction partner solution.
Your Partners: eGiving
All of these relationships are negotiated so that our clients would not be paying any more involving us in the relationship than they would if they just worked directly with the providers alone. We can continue to encourage, coach and intercede for you as your liaison with the processing world.
Think of eGiving as you would an insurance agent with a palette of products to fit your needs. As your giving grows, it helps us with payroll and development and offsets the costs of helping new ministries get going. We played a role in your success, and we want to keep working with you.
Our mission? To grow the Kingdom of Jesus. We have no sales department, no business goals… simply to provide the best strategies and tools to interface with your giving team… to help them do their job so you can do yours. The Lord sends the clients… and that keeps us plenty busy!
May the Lord continue to bless, keep and instruct you into the likeness of the Bride He wants for His son.
